Pegs

Here are some unusual pegs.

Some violin pegs. They have a nurled knob on one end and a straight slot on the peg head side.

These are some old style cello friction pegs. She wanted the pegs to look the same, so I searched through all my old pegs and found one matching peg. On her existing peg, someone had actually glued not only the bushing but also the peg to the bushing. I eventually got it out. Used a new bushing and glued that in. Then replaced the peg. I was able to tune the peg, but after about 3 or 4 days she said the peg started a little but. She brought it back and I took it apart. These pegs are made of metal and plastic. The inner plastic part of the peg wore down was now slipping. Here are most of the steps required to fix that peg.
