Frank Fairfield and Zac Sokolow | Old-Time String Music Duo

Frank Fairfield and Zac Sokolow, both longtime customers and friends of the shop, are accomplished folk musicians known for their lively and authentic interpretations of traditional American string music. Fairfield, a multi-instrumentalist rooted in old-time and Tejano traditions, and Sokolow, a fourth-generation musician with a background in blues and gospel, have performed together around the world. Their spirited duets—featured in videos like “Chorus Jig,” “Arkansas Traveler,” and “Sail Away Ladies”—capture the raw energy of old-time music while honoring and reimagining its deep roots.
